I found that the erros would recur and that the system would regenerate the files and the data inside. I remove the state and notify files and then create empty versions.

Could anyone shed some light on what is generating the following messages on one of our netapp F330's:
[sm_recover]: get RPC port for <host=machinea.foo.com,prog=100024,ver=1,prot=1
7 failed
[sm_recover]: no address for host <machineb.foo.com>
The listed machines were recently taken out of service or moved to another network. Any opions are welcome...
Well,
just to follow up, removing /etc/sm/notify and /etc/sm/state stopped the messages and they have not returned since. Thanks for your help.

We have a new F520 to replace our F220. The 520 came with one disk shelf, and the 220 has two disk shelves that I want to attach to the 520, so that the 520 ends up with three disk shelves and the filesystem from the 220. Does it suffice simply to plug in the two disk shelves from the 220, or is there something else that needs to be done to transfer the filesystem from the 220 to the 520?
