Is there any chance that some header can be added into the mail sent out on the toaster's list to make it easier to identify by a mail handler. Currently I have to depend on the envelope sender, which is not ideal but normally works, but why is the sender fubar@mathworks.com, and why did it suddenly change from madhatta@mathworks.com?

Which also means that your reply, sent directly to me, would be filed as mailing list mail, rather than a direct message to me.... [assuming that the To: included Cc:]
[probably need to take this thread off the list before I get seriously flamed :-) ]

As went out the other day, Tom is leaving The Mathworks. I am his replacement.
I'm gonna look at tweaking the list a bit next week, to cut down on all the (un)subscribe messages coming to the list, etc. I'll see what I can do for you, Nigel.

If it is a majordomo list, you could prepend something to the subject (ie: Subject: [TOAST] Some subject line here) easily.

This is because the madhatta no longer works for Mathworks and the list being maintained by someone else.
You need to read your toaster mail more closely :)
