Hi!
I have problems performing RSH from specific servers.
This is from NT 4.0 SP6. The first RSH goes OK, the second one hangs. Every time! If a wait some time between RSH command it works OK. This is Exchange server. I tried it from five diferent servers and workstations and they all work fine.
I'd like to run batch to delete old snapshot, rename and create new. It always execute only first command and the others time out. Only on this server?
Any ideas?
Thanks!

As a quick workaround, you can try running multiple commands with one rsh. Separate the commands with ;
In a unix shell, you can do it like this.
rsh filer "version; uptime; df"
I don't know if ; is a special character that needs quoting in a DOS window. But if you can get rsh to pass all the commands including the ; separators then the filer will run them all.
This is a multi-part message in MIME format.

Damn. I didn't know ONTAP understood semi-colon separated commands. Cool. I learned something today.
Until next time...
