I have a large quantity of Unisys fibre channel disk shelves (well over a terabyte), and I was hoping these would work on a NetApp F760. Specifically, these are:

Unisys OSM3000flr - Fibre Channel disk shelf

They have 4 DB9 connectors (two loops), and dip switches to select unit IDs 0-7.

UNISYS 006073ST19171FC - 9 GB FCAL disk.

Each shelf contains 8 of these.

These are basically Seagate ST19171FC disks, and could probably probe that way with an appropriate firmware download.

I believe that OnTap supports the drives themselves (both as Seagate and Unisys), I don't know what magic NetApp does with their shelves though.

If I can't make these work on a NetApp, I'll be forced to attach them to a Solaris box. :(
