Has anyone implemented OPS on multiple NFS clients?
Isn't this the product that would be required if multiple simultaneous updates to the same Oracle instance is needed?
Is this a certified solution?
How does file and record locking work in an OPS/Filer environment?

I was under the impression that Oracle Parallel Server required the use of raw filesystems, rather than file-based table space? If so, then that immediately rules out NFS.

OPS need RAW DEVICES in order to work. I've never heard talk about implementation using NFS in order to host the Database. If you need concurrent access through differents nodes, you must get a local attach device ( through FC-AL .... ) between the different nodes. In supplement, you need also Fast speed - Low latency interconnection between the different nodes ( alias Mr SCI ) in order to manager the locks.
