Support for qtree exports
Beginning with Data ONTAP 8.2.1, you can now export qtrees for NFSv3 access by applying export
policies directly to qtrees. This means that the number of exports is no longer limited to the number
of volumes on your storage system, enabling you to manage your exports more flexibly and on a
more granular basis.
Beginning with Data ONTAP 8.3, qtree exports are supported not only for NFSv3 but also for
NFSv4.0, NFSv4.1, and pNFS. Qtree exports are not supported for CIFS.

Sorry, I will check if q-tree snapmirror is supported. I don’t think it is, or will be.

There are no plans to bring qtree SnapMirror to cDOT that I’m aware of.
8.3.x definitely does not have it.

FWIW, this is what I got from a Netapp resource.. Its not “official”..
"As far as I know there are no plans to bring back Qtree SnapMirror. The reason for having it for the most part has gone away with the SVM’s and the way that you can allocate Shares & LUNs into volumes. We have raised the number of volumes that we support so if you really need the breakout then allocate a separate share or LUN to a volume and just create more… This way you will have the same granularity as what we were using QSM for in 7-mode.”
