Netapp open source snap vault (OSSV) supports only a local attached disk based file system. I need to use OSSV to dump a NFS mounted partition. Any leads to this will be appreciated.

Anybody using OSSV to snapvault perforce data ?
The OS in OSSV does not stand for open source! It stands for Open Systems, which according to NetApp includes Windows, Solaris, Linux, etc. (is Windows really open?- a debate for some other time) Answer 1 OSSV doesn't support any mounted filesystems, like nfs or cifs/unc etc. I think NetApp's rationale being if its nfs or cifs, it should be on a filer. I don't blame them. BTW, why would you need nfs support for OSSV. If the nfs mount is not coming from a netapp, install OSSV client on the source system, Netapp has ossv agents for many flavours of unix now. If it is coming from a netapp use snapvault.
