Maybe Qtree security.
Yep, you're right:
FILER2> qtree security Volume Tree Style Oplocks -------- -------- ----- -------- tmplogs ntfs enabled vol0 ntfs enabled
FILER2> qtree security /vol/vol0/ mixed Thu Apr 18 18:30:53 WES [FILER2: rc:notice]: security style for /vol/vol0/ changed from ntfs to mixed FILER2> qtree security /vol/tmplogs/ mixed Thu Apr 18 18:31:15 WES [FILER2: rc:notice]: security style for /vol/tmplogs/ changed from ntfs to mixed
With this I am now able to change the permissions:
# chmod 755 etc # ls -al | grep etc drwxr-xr-x 15 root root 28672 Apr 18 18:16 etc
But do I have to do this by hand? Do the remaining permission stay fscked until I manualy fixe them?

I see to have fscked the /vol/vol0/etc dir:
admin:/mnt/filer-2/vol0# ls -la | grep etc d--------- 15 root root 28672 Apr 18 18:04 etc admin:/mnt/filer-2/vol0# chmod 755 etc chmod: changing permissions of `etc': Operation not permitted admin:/mnt/filer-2/vol0#
Moreover I am unable to change the permissions of any file/dir (through NFS).
What can be the problem?
