I have just upgraded from 7.0.4P1 to 7.1P8 and a fraught few minutes trying to work out why the filer couldn't resolve names in the DNS any longer. "dns info" was saying

DNS is enabled

DNS cannot be initialized

It turned out that it was failing to recognise "nameserver" lines in /etc/resolv.conf if they included comments like this:

nameserver 131.111.8.42 ; chimaera nameserver 131.111.12.20 ; c01

(Whole-line comments are still OK.) First time I've ever come across a resolver with that bug, I think.
