to fix the downrev disk prb , issue the following command : disk_fw_update if you still have this problem , try to get the last qual_devices file at now what is your ontapp version ? check the sysconfig -a output, u could find the fw for each disk you have (fw is a 4 alphanumeric code like NA04 or 0224) send me this output in case u need help

the shelf fault is either a power supply prb, or an overtemp prb (a fanis failling) or again a prb in the way diag message are reported by the shelf to the filer . in this case it could be related to multiple prb again the sysconfig -a might gives clues you can try the following command to get info : environment status (depending of your dot version) (dot=data ontap version)

I visually inspected all the shelfs and there were no red lines on. All the fans were working. Both power supplies were lit green on each shelf. Which is emu 5?

I halted the filer, power cycled everything, and it came back up.

All seemed fine, but then I got this alert:

Tue Jul 1 10:47:55 EDT [dyn_dev_qual_admin]: Downrev firmware on 1 disk

Two months ago, I replaced a failing disk with a spare. I suspect this disk is my new hot spare. What can I do to fix this?
