So I just went to:
http://now.netapp.com/NOW/knowledge/docs/ontap/ontap_index.shtml
And, if memory serves, the right had column should be "Quantity", which would then allow for new hard copies of the various books to be sent out. This no longer seems to be the case -- did this go away with the site rebranding update?

Go one step further and select your version of ONTAP.

I believe you can only get hard copies up to ONTAP 7.2.4L1 at the moment. If you're looking for 7.3 there are only pdf's available since it is only 7.3RC1.

Free hard copies have been discontinued.
This started before I left NetApp in 2005. Presumably a cost-cutting mechanism...most people can use the on-line docs at now or download and install on your NetApp.
You can also print your own copies out and have them bound locally or pay NetApp a fee to send you hard copies.

Hey Tim! The free hardcopies that came with every filer were discontinued back then, partly as a cost savings, but mostly because some customers, especially those with lots of filers, pointed out the mass of paper (=trees) being wasted.
As a replacement, NetApp instituted free copies via print-on-demand service through NOW, on the same page where you download pdf/html. I just checked - they're still free.
Everybody wins!
