I'm not sure where's the best place to direct this feedback, but the NetApp Tech Library papers on Exchange on filers and SnapManager you listed below ought to be updated for SnapManager 1.1. In particular, there is no reference to NetApp Drive, and restores are described as 50GB/hr copies from Snapshots rather than SnapRestore-style reversions to the Snapshots.

As per http://www.netapp.com/tech_library/3074.html MicrosoftR Exchange and NetAppT Filers: Recommendations for Deployment, if you scroll down to section 4.2.2, we highly encourage the use of low latency connections like Gigabit, particularly in database configurations. There are several other useful documents in the tech library that will steer you in the right direction for a successful deployment, including http://www.netapp.com/tech_library/3054.html MicrosoftR Exchange and NetAppR Filers: Technical Integration and Installation Supplement and http://www.netapp.com/tech_library/3067.html MicrosoftR Exchange and NetAppR Filers: An Overview. In addition, an independently-written Total Cost of Ownership report is at http://www.netapp.com/tech_library/3103.html.

We are currently a Lotus Notes shop and are looking to move to Exchange. We have specked out a server and are planning to place the Exchange data on the filer. Our question is related to connectivity. Is anyone running fast ethernet between their filer and Exchange server? Or is Gigabit the best bet? What are your experiences with either of these? Thanks in advance for your input.
