I agree about not doing the verification. I have 4 Exchange 5.5 servers with about 60 gig each. 3 of them are on a F820 that is also doing file services for 4000 home directories with a single shared GbE interface.

Schedule your verifications for off-peak hours or just don't do them. I have never seen an esefile check fail, and we have had this in production a long time.
