Hello,
I shared the directory where most of our Unix-Homes are located under the CIFS sharename UNIX_HOMES. There's no problem to connect \filer\unix_homes, but I cannot connect directly to a sub-directory, i.e. \filer\unix_homes\alex.
Is this way to connect not implemented or is it a configuration problem?
thank you,
Hi,
If you have the cifs.home_dir option set to point to <path_of_unix_homes>,then when user 'alex' tries to connect to the filer he should be able to see his folder and thus can map to it.
The command for that is , options cifs.home_dir <path_of_unix_homes>
