if the filer is "real working" with local groups and you are shure that there are no other permissions given - then its not a problem to move the filer to the new domain. the local groups don't change - all the memebers will be there and also the acls.
to change the filer to w2k sometimes you need to create the machine-account before moving.
we did this with several nt4 boxes, w2k boxes and 2 toasters.

We are going to migrate a filer from a NT40 domain to a W2K AD native mode domain, and there is a trust between these 2 domain, and all the users are located on the W2K domain. On the filer we have lots of local groups, files and users working and we don't to want generate new acl's. We have been looking on the microsoft utility ADMT, is there anyone with experience using this utility, to migrate locale groups and machine account?
