Anyone have any experience with HDS Tagmastore vs. NetApp arguments? Mgmt wants to share disk across open systems and mainframe. NetApp doesn't play in the mainframe world. So that's a strike against it. However if I SAN attach all my NetApp disk and then hook it into the Tagmastore I have to walk away from all the NetApp software that works so great. It is then just generic SAN disk managed by the Tagmastore. I really love my NetApp software but I don't have enough ammo to lobby my case to keep buying the NetApp gear. Has anyone crossed this bridge before or do you know of any negatives with the Tagmastore solution (compared to NetApp)? I have no experience with the Tagmastore. I do understand that after you create a volume you extend it by creating another volume and "link" them together. I'd really like to keep my aggregates thank you very much. Thanks everyone.
PS - If you have also fought this battle and lost that would be helpful information to me as well.
