Hello

We are going to purchase a FAS 270 box and I need some sysadmin feedback on this machine. Usage will be NFS and CIFS, anybody knows if samba is supported on this ONTAP version ( 7.0.2 ) and if OpenLDAP is natively supported too ?

We're using a FAS250 with OnTAP 7.0.2 together with a Samba 3.0.20 PDC and OpenLDAP. It works (no problems), but I don't know if it is officially supported. Brecht

I use a NetApp F720 in a mixed Linux/NT, where the the Linux systems are LDAP authenticated. I can confirm that Username mapping of SID and LDAP works. I did not try with a SAMBA PDC
