I am working at TNO-FEL, a physics-lab in the Netherlands. We are setting up a multi-platfom environment with a LDAP-directory server for integrated user and resources management.

Working with the Netscape directory-server we can replicate between NT and LDAP for the Netscape environment. I have done some testing with the Luke Howard LDAP-client for Unix (Luke also has written rfc2307, by which you can map NIS attributes on LDAP attributes) to run NIS requests over LDAP. It is running very well.

My questions to you are:

- how can I integrate te Netapp-filers in this (They don't have a LDAP client YET) - Is there anayone else, who has done something with LDAP and Unix ( and maybe Netapp filers) - Who will migrate to LDAP-based directory service' when it is available.
