In recently dealing with requoting support for our mix of filers, I find that technically the F300's haven't been declared EOL.

The thing is, last time we paid for support, they wouldn't let us purchase software support for the F330's beyond April 2000, but that has come and gone and I wonder how close Netapp is to ONTAP 5.4. I was told that they wouldn't let us get software support beyond then because no new versions of ONTAP would be available for the F330's.

I had been told that as of ONTAP 5.4, SCSI based filers won't be supported, hence the EOL for the F330's. So, is this still the case, and how close are we to seeing a 5.4 release?
