Hi
Does anyone know if it is possible to see what files are being access on the filer from the filers side ??
eg.. run command on the filer for 'n' minutes and it spits out all the files that were touched for that 1 minute period and lists what qtrees/volumes they are in??
On the NOW site there is a file called netapp-top.pl that lists top nfs clients.. this i guess would be the next step up from that and it would list the nfs client and a list of files it accessed ??
is this doable?? is there any scripts ??
anything like solaris lsof for the filer??
for cifs, you can audit file access in a costumable way for nfs, there is no such facility, thought it is on the roadmap of Netapp sur it would be greatly appreciable
