I personally have not used OmniBack but I did publish a white paper on the subject of NT based backup of filers. At the very least, it may give you some ideas.

We are new to filers. We currently have several DLT drives on NT servers which are OmniBack tape agents. We are currently getting ready to install a F720.

Has anyone used OnmiBack on NT to backup via the CIFS on a filer? I know we would have to snapshot manually. Any other drawbacks or problems?
