Actually we use samba servers to let our windows users access to their data, samba servers act also as wins servers and PDC servers.

Samba use NFS to access the filer.

I know this is FAR to be the best practice, but Ontap still does not support native LDAP authentication ( Openldap ).

I have requested several times in this list WHEN Ontap will support LDAP auth but never received a positive answer so I repost my request ...

I actually runs 6.3.1 Ontap version.

PS : I do not wants to use M$ Active Directory as our LDAP server runs under UNIX of course.
