Hi all,
looking thru the archive of this list, I can't find any real relevant information about Netapp configuration details for usenet since 1997. Things have changed since then in both filer and usenet worlds. Anybody got any suggestions/gotchas/useful web links/tips for me? I am used to having news in an A5000 disk array, but would like to use netapp if possible.

We used to keep our spool on an F220 running INN 1.7, but since moving to Cyclone and Typhoon, there was no need for the fast directory and file write performance of a Netapp. A news spool isn't important enough to me to keep on a Netapp, and I can buy nearly two terabytes of spool space on 73GB drives for the price of an F740. If a drive dies... oh well, wait a day and it'll be refilled. :)
