The Legato ClientPak for NetApp was announced yesterday.

for details. The ClientPak, which is a Java-based, non-NDMP solution, will be available in September. The ClientPak is compatible with Networker Server and Storage Node and backs up over the network.

Obviously, Legato has invested heavily in NDMP, so it has a prominent role in Legato's strategy. The Java ClientPak provides a solution right now for Networker customers.

Legato plans to provide a complementary NDMP-based Networker solution for NetApp early next year.
