Can anyone help me identify what can't be deleted from the /etc of a non-root volume? I know that all volumes get some info stuffed in there sooner or later. We just snapmirrored a few root volumes to non-root volumes and would like to get rid of the unnecessary /etc files.

Mainly, it looks like it uses /etc/oldmaps and /etc/tmp for backups or something.
