Running a 3050c (7.0.4), and for about an hour we had several instances where generic accounts could not write to specified CIFS shares. They could map them and read them but no writes. The issue then resolved itself. I didn't see any errors on the filers (cifs overdue requests or dc issues), however, given the scope of the problem and the mysterious fix leads me to belive it was an AD issue. I just wanted throw this out there and see if anyone else had run into this. Thx. -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/CIFS-Writes-delayed-t1240082.html#a3281887 Sent from the Network Appliance - Toasters forum at Nabble.com.
Do you use VSCAN? Perhaps that could be part of the culprit...
If it happens again, it may be useful to get 'vscan status' and 'cifs domaininfo' output to determine if you're connected (assuming you were due to the fact that people could map), and to see if the virus scanners are functioning.

No, not on the filers in question. I think it is a bigger issue since it hit multiple systems on multiple subnets and machine rooms. DC issue, I believe. Thanks for the response. -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/CIFS-Writes-delayed-t1240082.html#a3305587 Sent from the Network Appliance - Toasters forum at Nabble.com.

CIFS on each system was functioning correctly and I didn't see any errors in the system logs.
