hi,

because of our home dir structure,users/a/auser, i am trying to use the home.dir option with symlinks as it has been discussed previously in toasters.

ontap 6.1.1r2, nfs and cifs.

i do:

cifs.home_dir /vol/vol0/homelinks

in homelinks i execute

ln -s /vol/vol0/userstest/a/auser auser

to create the symbolic link.

the problem is that it works inconsistently. i get:

D:>net use * \file1\kusr1 System error 67 has occurred.

The network name cannot be found.

frequently!

anybody have any ideas. this is driving me nuts.
