HI all
We've just discussed about this but I'm looking for more realistic samples that compare VMware on iSCSI and on NFS.
With "realistic" I mean not 100% sequentials read/write like the ones that have been presented at VMworld.
Have you something about?
Thank you in advance
During the presentation in VMWorld 2008 (which was done with 50/50 R/W if I recall correctly), the presenter mentioned having done a lot of more benchmarks, which would be available.
You can find the presentation here: http://www.vmworld.com/vmworld/static/sessions/2008/europe/AP02.html
I don't recall all the details of the presentation, but since it was the 4th session in a row, my attention was a bit weakened.

You may note on the AP02 slide deck that no NFS data was presented. I would suggest that anyone interested work with their NetApp account team and customer to validate storage protocols with VMware.
