We have 2 automount directories:

From auto.master:

/view_data auto.view -rw,intr,proto=udp /vob_data auto_vob -rw,intr,proto=udp

From auto.view: db.bck lapid:/lapid2/view_data pool netapp4:/vol/genproj/genproj/view_data db2 lapid:/lapid2/view_data2 db lapid:/lapid/view_data

From auto.vob: db.bck lapid:/lapid2/vob_data pool netapp4:/vol/genproj/genproj/vob_data scm netapp4:/vol/genproj/genproj/scm db2 lapid:/lapid2/vob_data2 db lapid:/lapid/vob_data

Is it what you opt for ?
