yes there is. To quote the 8.1.1 7-Mode CmdRef1:

The *revert_to* command is specific to Data ONTAP release families; the Data ONTAP 8.1 version of revert_to can only be used to*go back to 8.0 _or 7.3.x_* target releases, not for any earlier release.
