Can anyone say whether the NetApp filer telnetd implementation is free from the buffer overflow bugs described in http://www.cert.org/advisories/CA-2001-21.html (24 July 2001)?

We've had quite a few calls on this and the word from the engineers involved in that code assure us ONTAP is *not* vulnerable to this so no patches are needed.
