I know I can check by using wafl scan status. the problem is, we have a critical data on these filers and we would to have an estimate of how long the inode conversion will take to finish, is it 4H, 10h....etc.
Thx. Hasni.

You can try to look at "priv set diag; wafl scan status".

The number of files will have an effect as well. I'm not sure if anyone outside of NetApp's WAFL team will know the answer. The inode conversion happens in the background after the filer is up, and serving data. Generally it has little to no effect on production workload. YMMV.

Hi,
We would like to upgrade 2 of our filers to DataOntap 7.3.0P3 and we would like to know the time it is going to take for the inode conversion.
Details: F840.....6.4.4P8 (diskspace 5.4TB) FAS960.....6.4.4P8 (diskspace 20.2 TB) Also some of the volumes are around 90 - 95%.
I appreciated your input....
