I switched our NetApp box to NFS v2 last night, and it *does* make a difference. It's a bit early to draw firm conclusions after only one expire run, but so far it looks like I cut my expire time with a whole hour. Nice! It's particularly noticeable during the 'fastrm' and 'renumber' phases.
