Windows 2000 Server with SP4.
I started an rsh .... sysstat 1 and it ran for over 10 min before I manually terminated. So, it appears to be only when doing ndmpcopy via rsh. Something to do with the way ndmpcopy sends status info back every 5 min? Possibly resetting the stdout?
OnTap 7.0.3 on the R200 I am rsh'ing to. Absolutely certain there is no firewall... built this network myself. It is a one switch network dedicated to backing up all our systems to an R200 using SnapVault and Syncsort's Open System Snapvault.

What Windows client ? If you perform other rsh activity between this box and the Filer do you still get a connection reset or is it only when using ndmpcopy? What is the DOT version? Absolutely certain the path is not via a Firewall?(ie tracert works with no hops?)

I am trying to perform an ndmpcopy operation using rsh from a Windows client. I am able to initiate the ndmpcopy fine and transfer actually starts. However, after EXACTLY 5 minutes, the rsh times out with a "connection reset by peer" message. Anyone know of any way to get around this?
