Our security department has a need to look up who has rights to particular folders (CIFS) on our filer cluster. We have used Bindview and FastLane Reporter and Enterprise Directory Reporter to find out about local storage. However, none of them seem to be able to “look” at the filer. We have contacted the individual companies but we get long pauses when we try to explain what a Filer is and how it works. Anyone using any software that tells you who has access to a particular folder or know of any tricks to make these type of software programs work? Thanks.
