Hi all,
I have two NetApp F740 filers. I would like to shutdown the filer with the disk shelves and attach the disk shelves to a newly configured filer - Will volumes/qtrees and their attributes be kept once I bring the disks online with the new head.

Yes. If the hardware configuration on the new filer isn't exactly the same as on the old ones, make sure you make the appropriate changes to /etc/rc (e.g., ifconfig). Do a proper shutdown too, so the contents of NVRAM are flushed to disk.
