We are also using Alexandria (although we wish we had something else) - We discovered that direct NFS mounts to the Alexandria server to the Netapps works best. We backup each top level directory and its associated sub directories and it seems to work fine.

We are trying to backup 12 NetApp Filers using Alexandria. I was curious who else is trying to backup Filers with Alexandria and how they have implemented their solution. We have had a lot of troubles with doing Filer backups with Alexandria, especially with the Alexandria database.

If anybody would care to describe their solutions, customizations, and tunings they needed, I would greatly appreciate it.
