I installed two QLA HBA in a FCP SAN. I went to install MPIO license and then rebooted the servers.
Now I can't manage the luns in SD; however, I can see the drives in 'My computer'
Originally I thought it may be a SANSurfer or Host Attach Kit issue, but that doesn't seem to be the case.
It appears that SD uses the UNC path to make the initial connection. Since I had VIFs enabled, it seemed like the path was failing somehow.
Has anyone else seen this happen or does anyone know why SD needs to use the UNC path to make the connection. What if my ether-switches die? Does that mean I will not be able to manage my drives in SD?
Thanks,
JV
