Yes, NFS Maestro is working great with NetApp. The permissions issue we had was that in order to authenticate, the <filer>/etc/passwd file must have a name _and_ a passwd in order to authenticate. We were trying to authenticate without a password Thus, I added a user and passwd to the passwd file. There's a handy-dandy utility on the NetApp to output passwd encryption, but I can't seem to remember what that utility is. Does anyone know?

Jen - I was reviewing some of the older mail messages on the "toasters" list, and noticed you have this question.
I was wondering if you where able to get things to work for you. A later post, you said you where able to connect as "nobody". I am able to do the same. Did you get user authentication working?
Thanks

Has anyone used a third party NFS Client application on the NT side such as Hummingbird's NFS Maestro to connect to a NetApp instead of using CIFS?
