Is anyone out there using their NetAPP to house Oracle, Informix or Sybase databases? If so what have been the results? Any feedback on this issue would be greatly appreciated.

We use Sybase for a number of internal apps, including a serial number tracking system for mfg and our support application. I cannot think of any problems we have had relating to the filer. There have been some setup issues on the sun server, nothing to do with the NFS mounts though.
One note regarding the config of the filer...
We have several databases (different Sybase implementations and also other vendors, including Progress) running off of one filer. We seem to have an issue related to this. We have this system "maxed out" in terms of memory, i.e. 8M NVRAM and 256 M RAM. We are seriously considering moving to a 630 for our database server. The databases seem to require quite a bit of memory for good performance. We have no problem with space which is why moving to a 630 seems a little silly. We only have approx 70G on the DB filer. Moving to a filer that can store approx .5 T seems like overkill. However, we do need the increased memory that the 630 provides (max of 512 M RAM).
Just something to keep in mind.

We use Sybase with our Netapp server in Customer Service. If there have been problems, we the users haven't known about it.
