seems to answer your own question - it looks like the netcache box can be set up to acquire configuration via DHCP (which is, as I'm sure you know, basically bootp+extensions anyway and all works on that same bootpc port.)

How does one disable this DHCP functionality ?? since I know what ip's should be allocated to the machines in question.
