Forgive me if I asked a naive question.

A NetApp trainer once told me that there are three kinds of questions. Ordinary ones, good ones and excellent questions. The difference is that the ordinary ones can't be answered right away, the good ones can, and for the excellent ones there's a slide coming up. Bottom line is there's no stupid questions. :-)

I believe there should be a user who can access filer's ndmp service. But I can not see such configurations on filer's ndmp options,

is any user on

filer ok for ndmp backup use?

There isn't at the moment. I think there might be an RFE for this, maybe some of the good people from NetApp will know?

And on Legato networker, where i can specify the ndmp port which supposed to be 10000?

I don't think you can. Is there a particular reason why you'd need to spesify it?

If someone has successful experience on Networker ndmp configuration to backup filer, pls help me.

It works fine, but I'd recommend using NetWorker v6.1 and OnTAP v6.x or you'll be in for a long wait when recovering just parts of a large volume.
