we are migrating from NIS to LDAP as OnTap does not support native LDAP I have setup a NIS-LDAP gateway.

I plan to use that gateway as NIS server to let the filer grab users UIDs.

My question concerns the "netgroup" file that is actually propagated from our old NIS server, the NIS gateway is not able to propagate that map.

Should I put it in the /etc directory of the filer to be used by it ?

according I modify the nsswitch.conf file like the following

netgroup: files
