When I run the Top Utility on my HP UX 10.20 Box (the rest are 11.0). The command that the process is running is called "basicdsd". It is running continously & growing in size.
Any Ideas what "basicdsd" is?
Thanks -
1. This is off-topic for this list 2. If you go to www.google.com and type in "basicdsd" you will find the answer in about 5 seconds. The first link, http://forums.itrc.hp.com/cm/QuestionAnswer/1,1150,0xc2b0e7613948d5118fef009 0279cd0f9,00.html includes the following information:
"basicdsd is a daemon from HPDPS Logical printer object. You should install the patches: PHCO_21853 s700_800 10.20 HPDPS cumulative patch PHSS_17545 s700_800 10.x cumulative pxdb patch PHCO_18779 s700_800 10.20 lpspool subsystem cumulative patch Maybe this solves your problem since they mencion some problems relating basicdsd."
