I'm looking to reduce the size of one of my volumes. I was hoping to use vol copy, but it does a block to block copy so the destination volume has to be equal or greater than the source. NDMPD is not currently enabled because our backup software (Veritas Backup Exec) doesn't support it. Is there a faster way of moving 50GB of data around so that I can resize my volume other than using Windows Explorer to drag and drop? Recommendations anyone?
Remember, you are unique... just like everyone else!
Try ndmpcopy. You'll have to enable ndmpd but that shouldn't cause any problems. You can always disable it when the copy is done. Go here to get ndmpcopy.
