Well, in principle this should be just fine. YMMV. Log bugs if it doesn't
work. 8)
Remember to check all the settings on the clients: on the interfaces,
the stack and the higher-level protocol as appropriate. Suns, by way of
example, have oodles of things to set, as came up recently. The jury's
still out on how much you can do on the client, but I'd say it's leaning
toward 'quite a bit'.
Also use whatever network tools you have, managed switches etc. to
check for the usual problems with performance: collisions, duplex
confusions, high broadcasts, other major traffic sources on the same or
intervening segments. If you overlook something in this area then you
might find tweaking the nfs.udp.xfersize is a retrograde change, against
expectation. Then again, maybe I'm explaining how to suck eggs here.
