I would suspect, as most tape libraries do, you can get the info from the LCD console of the library, something like FW info? Graphing write volume?

I have installed filer-mrtg, which has almost all the information I need. The only thing I need now is to know how much bandwidth would be needed to mirror our 740 across a wan link. Since it should it is a mirror we should only need to know the amount of nfs writes. Also in filer-mrtg the Network K sent/recv seems really really low. It is showing us at 5.2KB/s? But when I graph something like 1:public@netapp I get about 30Mbps, Big difference. I tried to graph mib number ...789.1.3.1.3.1.1.34.1 but that gives me a 0. Ideas? --Brian

differential to single-ended

Hi, I finally received a new F760 filer but failed to realize that the built-in tape interface will be differential. All of my current filers have dedicated ADIC 224 libraries with DLT7000 fast/wide tape drives. Q: I need to be able to connect the new F760 to the existing tape library. Does anyone know if there is a host adapter (fast/wide) that I can plug into the F760? If not, then my second thought was a passive differential to single-ended adapter. Does anyone have any experience with that? The backup software is NetBackup.
