hello, anybody out there who has experience with user/group authentication with samba 3.0 DC or OpenLDAP for an F810? OS Ontap 6.5P4 for the F810. Are there any advantages/disadvantages using one or the other ? thx for helping hannes

Monitoring backup via DFM

Hello, We'd like to monitor (e.g. lag error) our snapvault backup via the Data Fabric Manager, but we don't like to manage our backup with the DFM. Have anyone done or seen this before? Thanx in advance Brigitte

MTAs used on Netapp Filers

I've read various documents on mail servers and Netapps and other NFS servers etc, . but thought I would ask the question. What MTA (sendmail, postfix, qmail, exim, etc.) have admins chosen to run and their reasoning if they would be open to sharing their feelings. -- Errol Casey errol(a)nouce.net

Xbase database files on Netapp filers

Has anybody over come slow access to to database files on netapp filers that use xbase database files? I'm using an application that uses this database format, and the application seems to be impacted due to NFS related or Netapp specific issues. I'm working the issue with Netapp currently but thought I would ask other netapp users as well.
