Hi Toasters,
We have a filer we'd like to make full SAN only but weren't sure if Snapdrive would work after pulling off the CIFS license.
I know there's been some talk about a limited CIFS license, and am pretty sure Snapdrive only uses CIFS to make the initial connection, but once the LUN is mapped you can bounce CIFS or Snapdrive and the LUN stays mapped...
It just feels crazy to renew CIFS on a SAN only filer.
