You can do it,you must ensure cross network connectivity.
If filer A fails, filer B will completely taken over Filer A including Network and Netbios Identity etc.so you have one physikal and one virtual Filer in the same physikal Network Segment.

Cluster characteristics
The filers in a cluster have the following characteristics: * They are connected to each other through a cluster interconnect consisting of adapters and cable through which they * Continually check whether the other filer is functioning * Mirror log data for each other's NVRAM * Synchronize each other's time * They use two Fibre Channel Arbitrated Loops (FC-AL), in which * Each filer uses the A loop to manage its own disks * Each filer uses the B loop in takeover mode to manage its partner's disks * They own their spare disks and do not share them with the other filer. * They may reside on the same NT domain or on different domains.

Here's one that I think I know the answer to but I figured I would see if anyone had any comments ...
Can a set of clustered filers ... each running CIFS ... belong to two different NT4 domains??
I figure the answer is NO ... since when one of the filers failed the other would not be configured to handle requests for the other domain. Could someone confirm or deny my opinion??
Thanks.
